Find the Best Popcorn and Enjoy the Movies
Watching a movie is one of the most enjoyable activities you can do in your down time. Add the best popcorn around to that, and it pretty much can’t be beat!
But have you ever stopped to think about whether or not the popcorn is good for you, or if there are different types of popcorn that are better or worse? What you consider the “best” popcorn, might not in fact be the best popcorn in your body’s opinion.
Take for example those microwave packs—convenient, yes. --The best popcorn? Hardly. With a large amount of saturated fat as well as over-salting, this would not even appear on the “Let’s cook healthy” list! The same goes for the popcorn that’s served at movie theaters. With that amount of saturated fat, your heart will be begging you to stop eating it in no time!
So, if you want to live healthy, you must cook healthy. But what about enjoying a good movie? Simple! Invite some friends over to your place, bring out the sleeping bags and throw pillows, and cook up your best popcorn, adding those great toppings that turn good popcorn into the best popcorn you’ve ever had! Some favorites you could try are: dried cranberries, raisins, cinnamon, melted chocolate, crushed peanuts, and grated cheese! Now is that the best popcorn around, or what? Oh yeah, add a home movie and good friends to that, and cooking healthy takes on a whole new meaning!
